Budwig Diet

The Budwig diet consists of cottage cheese and flaxseed oil. This diet–devised in 1951 by German biochemist and expert on fats and oils Dr. Johanna Budwig–arose from her research on fats and proteins and how they affect health. She found that when organic flaxseed oil and organic cottage cheese combine, the chemical reaction produced allows them to be absorbed into the cell membranes. Therefore, mixing cottage cheese with flaxseed oil provides the body with a plentiful supply of lipoproteins. Dr. Budwig reported that when cancer patients followed this diet for at least 3 months, the size of their cancer tumors showed gradual reduction. To feed this diet to your dog, mix 1 tbs. organic flaxseed oil with 1/2 cup organic cottage cheese and feed it to your dog three times a day. Feed this diet to your dog for at least 3 months.
